Do-do-doo(rk)

It's been well documented that I am a dork.

Here's more videographic proof.

The video posted below is only 20 seconds long because that's the time limit my new cell phone has for videotaping. I'm sure that if the video was longer than 20 seconds, its dorkiness level would increase at least tenfold. But as it is, it's still pretty dorky.

Just me, alone, with my cell phone, listening to the Lemonheads on my ipod, and pretending to be in a music video, with the room spinning around me as I sing. (And "sing" is putting it politely.) Dorkiness ensues.

(If you're wondering, the song I'm "singing" along to is "Bit Part" from the Lemonheads' album It's a Shame About Ray.) (oh, and the sound is slightly off-synch with my mouth, but whatever)

I feel like Evan Dando is crying somewhere.

it is hard not to sing along with every song on that album...

So what's the difference between a dork and a nerd? Is nerd just a dated version of dork, or is it possible that it's a further degree of dorkness. If so, that's the word I'm looking for to describe the video I have just seen. But I'm your ma, and I love you just the way you are.

Jesse, Evan Dando would LOVE me if he ever saw my youtube video. I know it! Evan Dando is too cool to be crying somewhere.

PAM, dorks and nerds are COMPLETELY different. i don't have the energy to get into it right now--all of the subtle differences--but I wrote a post about it once, like, a year ago, and I will find the link and send you to it, and then you'll know more than you ever wanted to know about the difference between dorks and nerds (and geeks).
