The Paz, now the Cam...hear hear to us guys with Craptastic Cars...so what's next?
i'm trying to figure out the "what's next" right now...
I know. Lots of memories in that beat up old piece of shit loveable car, eh? (I said "eh" because you're canadian, urp.)
But 11 years! How great are Toyotas? My last car was a Corolla which I LEARNED TO DRIVE on. 1990-2002!
We had many, many good years together. I actually got her when she was 4 years old (in '99, natch)--and she's done me good these past 7 years. I'm still slightly partial to my first though...the Mercury Topaz...she was a beautiful mess.
This is so sad, not just because you have to find a new car, but because I HAVE A '96 CAMRY!!! It seems to be running fine...(just out of curiosity, what was the mileage on yours when it crapped out??)
i was nearing 200,000 miles...
oh, i have so many happy memories with that burgundy mistress of yours. certain songs will always belong to her in my memory. like "buffy, the vampire slayer, the musical" and jeff buckley, too many to count.i know for a fact i almost peed in that sweet camry of yours on several occasions. now, i almost wish i had...goodbye lovely, messy, unpimped camry...fuck. what now?
was it the topaz or the camry that the candles melted on the dashboard?i wanted to get my memories straight as i have a small moment of silence for camry.
aims, next time we see each ither we totally must sing "where do we go from here?" from the buffy musical in honor of the camry.
jen do, i totally forgot about the candle spill of '98! the candle spill was in my topaz. ooooooo that makes me nostalgic. thanks for the moment of silence.
Mine only has 143,000. Hopefully that means we have a few more good years together.I'm glad you got that run up the PCH before it passed. Like it was saying goodbye, but it couldn't tell you.
awwww, it had a good life I'm sure.I drove a Toyota Camry station wagon in high school. It was the typical navy blue 1987 wagon, and I drove it from 1999-2001. It died shortly after.
nichole, it TOTALLY had a very very good life. i will write up a longer post sometimes next week, 'cuz i want to share some crazy car stories (sounds exciting, i know, but it IS, i swear).
christy, i honestly didn't see the end coming at all, but i guess she was trying to say goodbye. poor thing. *sniffle*
