My epic pee.

I woke up this morning and had the most epic pee in the world. Honestly. It was crazy.

Do you remember that "Revenge of the Nerds" movie (was it the first one or was it the third one?) that had the really-long-urination joke? Ted McGuinley was lounging in a jacuzzi in the guys locker room and then that big Ogre guy got out of the jacuzzi and walked over to a urinal in the background to pee. The joke of the scene was that the Ogre peed for, like, forever. Like, Ted McGuinley just kept on talking and the Ogre just kept on peeing and the scene just kept on going while Ted continued to talk and the Ogre continued to pee and on and on and on. Do you remember that scene?

Anyway, that's what it was like this morning while I was peeing. It was kind of amazing. I just stood there, thinking to myself: "Really? You're still peeing? Really?"

this joke was then also used in the first Austin Powers movie. long pees are funny, that's the first rule of comedy

you're right! i remember that scene in Austin Powers now. but it's more etched in my memory from the Revenge of the Nerds movie. the pee must have gone on longer in the Nerds movie, and thus made the joke funnier. because long pees ARE funny.

niiiiiice! Did you have a big gulp before you went to bed?

I don't remember what I drank. It's a mystery. I don't feel like I drank that much at all.

The long pee that sticks out for me is from A League of Their Own...remember? Tom Hanks pisses forever and all the chick baseball players are blown away. Am I the only loser who saw that movie?

I think the caveat to the first rule of comedy is: "...but only if it's a guy doing the peeing." A seated epic pee is somehow not as funny.

So, we've got:
Revenge of the Nerds
Austin Powers
and
A League of Their Own.

Has the epic pee joke been used in any other movie, or are the above movies the epic-pee-joke-triumvirate?

Also, Angela--I agree with you, that's part of the rule, or at least it has been thus far, but I think an epic pee joke with a woman sitting down could actually be very funny, especially because it's such an uncharted comedic territory.

there is a joke in Harold and Kumar where two girls have long fits of pooping.

But it's not funny. Not even a little bit.

I was actually going to ask if an epic poop had ever been done on screen! (And now I know, and I'm frankly traumatized by the knowledge.)

The entire bodily elimination/comedic film canon cannot POSSIBLY consist of only four movies...(although I love the idea of an epic-pee-joke-triumvirate because I believe the third rule of comedy is that things are funnier in threes)

Angela, I'm wracking(racking?) my brain for more, let me consult with my comedy guru roommates and get back to you

Joe--it's "racking," and if you want to know why, go to this site:

Just so we're all aware, it's actually Bradley Whitford and not Ted McGinley who's giving the speech in "Revenge of the Nerds 2: Nerds in Paradise". Not that I knew or anything. Not that I'm a loser at all...just...y'know...sayin'.

Michael, thank you for setting that straight. I'm kinda embarrassed that I got that one wrong. I just went to imdb.com and Ted McGuinley isn't even in Revenge of the Nerds part 2! (He's in Part 1, part 3, and part 4.) I think the last time I saw this movie was before I knew who Bradley Whitford was and so that's why it didn't stick in my memory banks and my brain just assumed it was Ted McGuinley because Ted, well, DID stick in my memory banks.

No, Soleclaw (is that a play on coleslaw?) you are definitely not the only loser who saw A League of Their Own....I saw it and it came to my mind IMMEDIATELY when I read the "Epic Pee" post. I can see Tom Hanks standing there and every time you thought it was over, tinkle tones started again. It was a funny scene in a really good movie.

There's a film I can't remember the title of with Julianne Moore and Pierce Brosnan (as lawyers I think?) He goes into the Gents and she follows and there's a bloke in there peeing the whole time they're talking. After a while she says to him "are you going for the record?".
